Loan Officer Backer

As a Loan Officer Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to provide support to the Loan Officer in managing loan files and ensuring smooth loan processing. Your duties will include reviewing loan files for missing information, updating borrowers and real estate agents on the loan progress, requesting and reviewing borrower and real estate agent documents, scheduling loan closings, and maintaining accurate records in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Job Duties:
  • Review active loan files (daily – as long as there is something to work on)
    • CB will review each and every file for missing information and documentation per the information provided from the LO 
    • This will happen at least once a day. More if deemed necessary. (~5 min per loan)
  • Update Borrower(s)/Real Estate Agent (daily – as long as there is something to work on)
    • CB will reach out to borrower(s) and Real Estate Agents to update them on the progress of the loan. 
      • Mainly through Email first with a text and call as follow up (default – but also needs to be confirmed with the client), then after 24 hours of no response repeat until successful.
    • This can be done Daily, Weekly, or as often as there is an update. This will be left to the discretion of the client (~5 mins per loan)
  • Requesting borrower documents (Time will depend on which part of the process we are on, front heavy)
    • CB will review the loan for documentation that is needed from the borrower. They will then request the missing documentation. 
    • This will be done each day that there is missing documentation. After the first request, follow-up daily till documents are received. (~1-15 mins per loan)
  • Reviewing borrower documents
    • CB will review documents that are sent to them, per the loan’s guidelines and rules.
    • This will be done as each document is received from the borrower (~1-2 mins per document)
  • Requesting and reviewing real estate agent documents
    • CB will review loan documents that are needed from the real estate agent. They will then request the missing documentation.
    • This will be done each day that there is missing documentation. After the first request, follow-up daily till documents are received. (~1-2 mins per loan)
  • Scheduling closing with borrower(s), real estate agent, and title closer (Time will depend on which part of the process we are, back heavy)
    • CB will receive notification that the loan is ready to be closed. They will then reach out to the borrower, real estate agent and closer to schedule a time they can all meet. 
    • This will be done as needed. (~5-10 min per file)
  • Updating Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (daily)
    • CB will update the CRM (Surefire, Black Knight, Encompass and MORE). As each new milestone is reached as well with any important updates.
    • This will be done daily to that all parties (Loan Officer, Real Estate Agent, and Borrower) will know the status of the Loan (~1 min per file)
